Princess Leonor returns to Spain to spend her vacations

Princess Leonor returns to Spain this Thursday at the end of her classes at the UWC Atlantic College in Wales, in the United Kingdom, to enjoy a vacation until the next day 24, when she will resume the last section of the first year of high school.

Her heiress to the throne will make her first public appearance this Saturday with the King and Queen and her sister, the Infanta Sofía, during the visit to the reception center for Ukrainian refugees in Pozuelo de Alarcón, in Madrid.

The last time Leonor de Borbón was in Spain was last December, although she did not participate in any activity in the 25 days of the Christmas break, which lasted until January 5.

It was last October 23 when she was seen in public for the last time during the visit to Santa María de Puerto, chosen in 2021 as an exemplary Asturian town, and after participating with her parents and sister in the ceremony of the Princess of Asturias Awards in Oviedo.

This event then coincided with her fall vacations, which ended on the 31st of that month, the date on which she turned 16.

The Royal House distributed in December the traditional Christmas greeting of the Kings and their daughters, although it did not specify when the photograph had been taken.

In addition to the visit to the reception center scheduled for Saturday, Leonor de Borbón is going to star in a second act during her stay in Madrid on the occasion of her vacation.

The event will take place next Wednesday at a Secondary School in the Madrid town of Leganés, where it will participate in a conference on youth and cybersecurity under the title "Enjoy the Internet safely", organized by the National Institute of Cybersecurity (Incibe) .

This will be the second time that the Princess of Asturias has taken part in a solo act, after her premiere on March 24 last year at the Cervantes Institute on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the cultural entity.

The spring vacation of the eldest daughter of the Kings will coincide with the Cervantes Prize award ceremony on April 22 in the Madrid town of Alcalá de Henares, but it is not planned that she will attend with her parents.

Princess Eleanor will resume classes at the Welsh boarding school on April 25 and will complete her first year of high school on June 17.
