Police Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai was involved this evening (Friday) in a car accident on his way to the holiday on the eve of the holiday in Ashkelon.

Clashes broke out this morning between police forces and worshipers at the Temple Mount, who were fortified in the al-Aqsa Mosque.

Masked rioters hoisted Hamas flags and threw stones and fireworks at the Western Wall.

After the riots did not stop even at the end of the prayer, police officers broke into the compound and began dispersing the rioters.

After about six hours from the outbreak of the riots, there was a truce and the police were re-organized for the noon prayers on the mountain, which passed without incident.
