After the intensive cleaning, the festive cooking, the happy and tiring hospitality - Seder night ends and leaves behind the last chores of arrangement and cleaning, chief among them - laundry.

The white tablecloths spread out on the holiday table white and shiny come down from it as they are dotted with food and beverage stains.

And the white and festive shirts worn for the holiday may also have been damaged by drops of wine or food.

The most important thing to remember in the context of stains is that each stain is easier to remove if treated close to the moment it is formed.

However, not every active ingredient (such as vinegar or baking soda) is an effective solution and can sometimes damage the fabric and leave it damaged.

We spoke with Assaf Motlow, product manager at Siemens, and bought from him his tips for cleaning stains created from the ingredients of the Passover meal, including: charoset, chocolate, fish and even red wine.

1. Charoset:

On Seder night we all sit in front of the holiday table and eat charoset.

The charoset is a mixture that is mainly sticky and refers mainly to fruits, wine and honey.

The components of the mixture, individually, can cause stubborn and sometimes non-removable stains and combining them together can show us an impossible task.

The charcoal stains can be removed with proper care - put washing powder on top of the stain and add a little lukewarm water and massage the stained area in a circular motion and gently.

Wait a few minutes and rinse with water.

If the stain does not come off, gently massage the stain with dish soap.

2. Honey:

A honey stain is mostly unpleasant because of its sticky feeling.

The most important thing is that the stain does not spread to other places and leave them sticky (sofa or hair).

Honey stains, can be removed quite easily using hot water.

The water will dissolve the honey in a relatively short soaking and then the rest of the stain can be removed gently with washing soap and continue cleaning in the washing machine.

Pay attention to the temperature - too hot water can set the stain.

3. Fish:

Any soap that actually removes grease is effective for removing an oil stain (even a greasy and red stain like that of Harima).

Hair shampoo can deal well with grease stains and also dishwashing liquid.

Dilute the soap with a little water, apply on the stain, dry well then put in the washing machine and wash as usual.

It is important to dry the garment and adjust the temperature to the type of fabric (not all holiday clothes are resistant to a temperature of 60 degrees!).

Another option is to use shaving foam - spray on the fabric, dry well and wash in the washing machine.

4. Red wine:

A stain of red wine on a white shirt is one of the threatening challenges.

The quickest option, even when you are around the holiday table, is to pour on the stain of red wine - white wine immediately.

The white wine will neutralize the red color of the stain.

Dry thoroughly and then wash in the washing machine.

It is important to maintain a temperature of 40 degrees.

A higher temperature may set the stain to a state where we will not be able to remove it completely.

Another option is to soak the garment with the stain in cold milk.

Milk is an excellent removal liquid for stains like wine and ink.

Soak the stained item for about two hours and then gently rub the stain area, before inserting into the washing machine.

Rub from the opposite side of the fabric.

5. Chocolate :

Chocolate is not difficult to remove from clothes, it can be removed quite easily.

What is important is to be very careful to remove very gently with a spoon or knife (not sharp) its residue if it is liquid, so that the stain does not spread and spread.

It is recommended to soak the garment with the stain in ice water (not hot water! They will completely fix the stain) for at least about an hour.

Then try rubbing the stain with the garment upside down (to remove it from the inside towards the outside), dry well and finish cleaning in the washing machine.
