The Supreme Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine condemned the Israeli occupation forces' attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the firing of bullets and poison gas canisters at the Palestinians who were there to pray and exercise the right to worship.

In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the committee stressed that these arrogant practices of the Israeli occupation forces that target the Islamic and Christian sanctities of the Palestinians, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque, express the ugliness of terrorism practiced by the occupation against the Palestinians, calling on the United Nations and the international community to immediately intervene to stop the aggression and provide international protection for the Palestinians and their sanctities.

For its part, Fatah movement stressed that the Palestinian people will not allow the occupation to impose its control over Al-Aqsa Mosque, pointing out that the terrorism of the occupation will only increase the Palestinians' determination to continue the resistance until it is defeated from their lands.

Fatah condemned the international silence on the crimes of the occupation, pointing out that this silence is what encourages the occupation to continue its crimes that it commits on a daily basis.
