Boca Juniors soccer player Eduardo Salvio was denounced this Thursday by his wife Magalí Aravena, who accuses him of having run her over with his car.
She says that the incident occurred around 1 a.m. this Thursday, local time, in the Puerto Madero neighborhood of Buenos Aires, according to the City Police report.
Speaking to TyC Sports, Mariano Cúneo Libarona, Eduardo Salvio's lawyer, said that the client will go to court to clarify what happened: “He has many witnesses and several pieces of evidence that will prove his innocence.
He has a lot of proof, it is a fact that will be clear, what happened and that he is absolutely not responsible for anything, "he said.
CNN tried to contact Salvio and his representative to obtain a reaction to this complaint, but has not received a response so far.
According to the complaint, to which CNN had access, Aravena approached the home he shared with the soccer player until a week ago with the intention of speaking.
Upon arriving at the place, he would have found Salvio in his car with a woman.

According to the police report, Aravena stood in front of the vehicle "asking him to speak", when Salvio "begins to move forward with the intention of leaving the scene" and then the complainant was hit with the front wheel of the vehicle.
Then, the soccer player backed down and fled, according to the story.

Aravena suffered a graze on her right leg, for which she was treated by an ambulance from the Same emergency service.
She was then referred to the Argerich Hospital with a diagnosis of "flexion trauma to the lower right limb," according to the complaint.
The complainant said, according to the document, that she has been with Salvio for 10 years, with whom she has two children, and that, by mutual agreement, "they decided to take time" in the relationship a week ago.
The 32-year-old soccer player did not show up for practice with his team, Boca Juniors, on Thursday, two club sources confirmed to CNN.
The institution published a statement in which "it makes itself available to Ms. Magalí Aravena and the Justice to arrive at her prompt clarification and ratifies its absolute commitment to gender and equality issues, as regulated by the Action Protocol before Cases of Violence based on Gender, Gender Identity and/or Sexual Orientation".
