The Ice Age is popular with children and families.
The impending end has triggered violent reactions.
But the last word has not yet been spoken
Wolfratshausen – After the culture committee decided with a stalemate (4:4 votes) to end the ice rink on the Loisach for the time being, the issue is again put to the test – this time not in the committee, but in the city council.
As Deputy Mayor Günther Eibl (CSU) announced on Tuesday evening at the city council meeting in the Loisachhalle, all formalities have been fulfilled.
After the end of the Ice Age: City Council renegotiates
Eibl chaired the meeting on behalf of the head of the town hall, Klaus Heilinglechner (BVW).
At least a quarter of the city council members – in Wolfratshausen, that is six politicians – must request this so that the topic can be taken up in the larger group.
"The documents were submitted to the town hall in the correct form and by the deadline", namely within a week of the committee meeting.
Eight board members from different factions have signed.
The no to the ice rink has triggered violent reactions.
Ice rink should be saved - city council wants to vote again
In May, according to Eibl, the city council will decide whether there will be another ice age in Wolfratshausen this year.
As reported, the initiator of the application, Green politician Jennifer Layton, is optimistic that the vote in the committee will be different than in the culture committee - and that the winter attraction in the Loisachstadt will remain.
The next meeting of the city council will take place on Tuesday, May 17th.
