Mittenwald – On Thursday (April 14) a tragic accident occurred in the Mittenwald mountains.
According to the police, a 27-year-old died in an accident.

The man from the Fürstenfeldbruck district left alone on Thursday morning towards the western Karwendelspitze.
"Above the Mittenwalder Hütte, there was a crash on snow-covered ground over some of the steepest rocky terrain," said the police.
The young man sustained fatal injuries.
The search for the man began that night after the experienced hiker was reported missing by a family member.
After finding it, only his death could be determined.

"The salvage was very complex and was only carried out the following day by the mountain rescue service and members of the alpine task force of the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South due to the lower risk to the emergency services," it said.
The officials point
"again to the still wintry conditions in the high mountains and the associated dangers.
Hiking or mountain tours require precise planning and appropriate consideration of these circumstances!”

He was killed by an avalanche that he had triggered himself.
