Emotional promise kept: Lucas Cordalis embodies Papa Costa so that "his music lives on"

Pop star Lucas Cordalis in the role of his life: In the RTL production "Der König von Palma" the singer plays his famous Papa Costa.

The 54-year-old is thus indirectly making good on a promise he made to his father before his death in 2019.

Palma – When Costa Cordalis († 75) died in July 2019, the grief for the hit star was huge.

His son Lucas (54) had to say goodbye to the man with whom he had been on stage for years.

Now the 54-year-old is paying tribute to his legendary father by embodying him in the RTL series "Der König von Palma" - and thus reminiscent of his unique career.

Costa Cordalis, who felt at home on the Balearic island himself, also appears in the story – embodied by his son Lucas Cordalis, who lives in Mallorca with his wife Daniela Katzenberger (35).

“My father always wanted his music to live on.

And I also promised him – before and after his death, that I would do everything in my power to make it happen

," revealed the pop singer in an n-tv interview on the RTL production set.

He undoubtedly created a worthy monument to his dad Costa in "Der König von Palma" - and thus kept his promise!

Lucas Cordalis also remembers his first Mallorca experience alongside his father, who died in 2019: "At the time I was just about to graduate from high school and my father really played here at least once a month, sometimes every week.

I always went along – it was a great time!”

The 54-year-old recently went on stage himself.
