Attenkirchen – The Attenkirchen fire brigade was alerted to two fires in the past week: On Tuesday, an empty house in Berging burned, on Thursday the trailer of the kindergarten.
A vacant house in Berging burned
A building in the hamlet of Berging, which has been empty for several years, caught fire around 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
"The flames were quickly put down by an extinguishing attack with two C-pipes from the outside, but the final extinguishing of the fire and the subsequent search for embers turned out to be extremely time-consuming because the area was very overgrown," reports the Attenkirchen fire brigade.
And further: "Using a chainsaw, numerous branches and trees could be removed in order to carry out the post-extinguishing work with the help of the thermal imaging camera." The operation was over at around 3.30 a.m.
The Erding criminal police are currently investigating on suspicion of arson.
In this context, possible witnesses are asked to report suspicious observations in the spatial and temporal vicinity of the fire by calling (0 81 22) 96 80.

Fire in the kindergarten trailer
A few hours later, around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the firefighters had to move out again – this time into the forest on the Ringstrasse.
There the trailer of the kindergarten caught fire.
In order to extinguish the fire, the construction trailer had to be opened up by the fire brigade.
The fire was extinguished shortly afterwards.
The Freising police estimated the damage at around 1,500 euros.
The police are certain that the fire must have been caused by "a third party's fault".
Therefore, witnesses are now being sought who can provide information about the perpetrator and who have made observations.
The PI Freising accepts information on telephone (0 81 61) 5 30 50.
