The 47-year-old, who was slightly-moderately injured yesterday (Friday) in the stabbing attack carried out by a 15-year-old from the city in the memorial garden in Haifa, told this evening (Saturday) what happened: "She shouted something in Arabic and I only understood the word 'Palestine'.

While I was on the floor I started kicking her with kicks - that’s why I have a foot wound.

I started shouting for help.

"Two young Arab guys showed up and talked to her and tried to stop her."

Statement of Condemnation

The United Arab Emirates joined last night (Friday) in condemning the Israeli Arab world following the events on the Temple Mount.

The Emirati Foreign Ministry stressed the need for self-restraint and protection of worshipers.

"The authorities in Israel must respect the religious rights of the Palestinians and stop practices that harm the sanctity of the mosque," they said.

On the way to the holiday meal: The commissioner's vehicle overturned on Route 6

Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai overturned last night (Friday) with his vehicle on the way to a holiday dinner in Ashkelon. During the trip of Shabtai and his family on Road 6 in the Shefela area, an explosion occurred in one of the vehicle's wheels. As a result, the vehicle overturned.

The commissioner was not injured at all in the road accident. However, two of the passengers were lightly injured. His wife and security guard suffered dry bruises and they were evacuated for safety for general checks. It should also be noted that the commissioner did not drive the vehicle during the road accident.

Russia has condemned Israel and Lapid

Moscow has strongly condemned Israel and Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.

This is after Israel supported Russia's removal from the UN Human Rights Council earlier this week.

Alongside this, Russia announced today that it is banning British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other senior ministers from entering Russia due to a "hostile stance" regarding the war in Ukraine.

Assassination in Jaffa: Former prisoner shot dead, two suspects arrested

A 40-year-old man was shot dead in Jaffa last night.

The murdered man was known to the police and was recently released from prison.

Towards 01:00, the death of the man, a resident of Jaffa, was determined by medical officials.

Meanwhile, Jaffa police officers conducted searches in the area alongside gathering evidence.

During the search, the police arrested two suspects, residents of the city, for questioning at the station.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old was seriously injured as a result of gunfire in the village of Yassif yesterday.

Arab report: Egypt mediates between Israel and Hamas regarding Palestinian detainees on the Temple Mount

The Al-Arabi Al-Jadid newspaper reported last night that there were indications that Cairo's mediation efforts to prevent escalation following the riots on the Temple Mount had been successful.

According to a Qatar-affiliated newspaper, senior Egyptian intelligence officials held talks with senior Israeli government officials and the Hamas leadership, which led to a conclusion regarding the Palestinian detainees who rioted on the Temple Mount on Friday morning.

Philippines: 167 dead in Maggie storm

At least 167 people were killed in landslides and floods after tropical storm "Maggie" hit the Philippine Islands last Sunday.

In addition, 110 people were missing and 1.9 million were directly injured as a result of the storm's damage, the country's national disaster agency said today.
