Photographer Gilad Kvalarchik documented the great moments of the athletes at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, and created "Victory Album" - an exhibition that provides a platform for Israeli and international athletes to tell the story of their lives and dealing with disabilities.

We got to see the amazing photos up close.

"My love is to shoot sports; to capture the crucial moment, the joy, the sadness," Kwalarchik said.

"I want to get my viewers excited because every picture leaves a strong memory. These athletes do amazing things and should be admired. Anyone who has a hard time in life should look at them."

Kwalarchik added: "I feel that for the first time sports photography can give people hope. The truth is that I was able to take pictures I never imagined I could do."

Olympic rowing champion Moran Samuel, who won a silver medal in Tokyo, added: "The truth is that I really connect to pictures at first glance do not see the limit at all; people who come here will see an athlete, then understand that he has no leg or hand. "His parts. Even when there is none or is missing - the ability to look at what is there brings us to the performance of excellence in sports. It is the place to live from what I have and it is a message to every person."

"The moment I remember most from the last Olympics was something like an hour after winning a medal," Samuel added.

"I got quite a few calls, but I turned off the phone and just broke up."

"I have been thinking for a long time about the subject of photographing Paralympic athletes, I am very connected to it," noted the esteemed photographer Ziv Koren.

"There's a term in photography called 'the right fraction of a second' and in sports photography you have to have it - to be the most accurate it can be. In Gilad's exhibition there is it - the moment in the air, the look, the jump. "We will believe in the human level. The exhibition has very important messages. It gives people strength."

Sports photography is by nature spectacular photography, full of movement and breathtaking, which centers on peak moments of excitement, determination, perseverance. This is strengthened dozens of times when it comes to photography of Paralympic athletes.

The "Victory Album" exhibition is a wonderful tool for strengthening the emotional intelligence of children and adults alike, and inspires and motivates us to overcome various difficulties in our lives.

And to discover that beneath everything we are all human beings, with difficulties, desires, dreams, determination and an emotional world.

The exhibition causes the viewer to see the person and transcend the initial impression of disability.

Mifal Hapayis has set itself the goal of promoting the world of culture and making it accessible to the general public, also out of a desire to raise awareness of the rights of people with disabilities and the importance of their integration into society equally.

This is an extraordinary and powerful exhibition, suitable for the whole family.

The exhibition will be held at the Silvan Adams National Velodrome on 10A Bechor Shitrit Street, Tel Aviv-Yafo, between April 13-24 and admission is free.
