While the incidence on Saturday was below 1000 for the first time since the end of January, the incidences in the different age groups differ quite significantly.
The figures from the RKI from week 14 show: The age group between 10 and 19 years has the highest incidence: over 1600.
In the age groups from five to 59 years, the incidence was generally still above 1000. Only from the age of 60 does the value drop below the mark.

informs, the omicron variant in small children, in addition to the well-known signs, also manifests itself as a so-called "pseudocroup" - a dangerous inflammation of the mucous membranes that can lead to shortness of breath.
Laryngotracheobronchitis of this kind is often accompanied by a barking cough and difficulty breathing.
If such symptoms occur in a child, experts advise one thing above all: keep calm and try to calm the child down.
In any case, a doctor should be consulted immediately after a pseudocroup attack.

The health authorities in Germany reported 37,568 new infections to the RKI within one day.
This comes from numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 5 a.m. on Saturday.
A week ago there were 150,675 registered infections.
With the values, however, it must be taken into account that individual states do not report data every weekday, and at weekends, for example, Baden-Württemberg, Lower Saxony, Brandenburg and Saxony do not or not completely.
Fewer reports are also to be expected on public holidays.
This in turn leads to late registrations on the following days.
A comparison of daily values is therefore becoming increasingly difficult.
In addition, experts have been assuming for some time that there will be a large number of cases not recorded by the RKI - due to overworked health authorities and because not all infected people have a PCR test done.

Corona: 29 deaths in Germany - clinic value falls
According to the new information, 29 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours.
A week ago there were 309 deaths - but unlike this week, that Friday was not a holiday.
Since the beginning of the corona pandemic, the RKI has counted 23,376,879 proven infections with Sars-CoV-2.
However, the actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections go undetected.
The number of corona-infected patients who came to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was 6.41 on Thursday (Wednesday: 6.49).
Here, too, there are days with incomplete reports.
The value also includes many people with a positive corona test who have another main illness.
The RKI gave the number of recovered people on Saturday as 19,802,700.
The number of people who died from or involved a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 132,929.
