The head of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma, Leonid Slutsky, called on the United States and Britain to stop supplying arms to Ukraine and recognize their responsibility for the worsening global crisis.

The TASS news agency quoted Slutsky as saying on his Telegram channel in response to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's statement that London plans to supply Ukraine with more weapons, "It is time for the United States and Britain to recognize their responsibility for the global crisis caused by their reckless policy in Ukraine and to stop supplying bombs to Kyiv." The consequences of this could be completely unfortunate for the entire world.”

Slutsky explained that “Western sponsors of the Kyiv regime seek to continue to use Ukraine as a tool in the confrontation with Russia,” stressing that “Moscow has warned that” an “irresponsible approach to global security may have unpredictable consequences and if they fail to see it, then as indicated by the Minister Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said any arms shipments to Ukraine would be legitimate targets of the Russian armed forces during the special operation to disarm the Kyiv regime, and this is what is actually happening.”

On the 19th of last month, the Speaker of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, confirmed that bringing peace to Ukraine is linked to the United States and NATO countries stopping the supply of weapons and mercenaries to Kyiv and supplying humanitarian aid instead.
