As-Suwayda - Sana
Today, in the seventh of April hall in As-Suwayda, the governorate championship of kickboxing, muay thai and martial arts for juniors, young women and girls, which was set up by the technical committee of the game under the supervision of the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch, with the participation of 50 players from Al-Arabi, Al-Shabiba and Shaqa clubs.
The first places in light contact kickboxing for juniors were Zain Al-Hamoud (32 kg), Raafat Al-Halabi (37 kg), Zain Harb (42 kg), Jad Obaid (47 kg), Laith Al-Shoufi (52 kg), Qais Rashid (57 kg), and Zaid Amer (63 kg). Kg and Murhaf Abu Hujaila, weighing under 69 kg, and Hisham Ghazaleh, weighing over 69 kg.
First came in the same manner for the junior category: Hala Abu Fakhr, 32 kg, Jovana Al Saleh, 46 kg, Afra Al Jabr, 50 kg, Rima Abu Fakhr, 55 kg, Zina Azzam, 60 kg, Mary Qatini, 65 kg, and Sham Abu Fakhr, who weighed 65 kg. For the young women category, Hala Abu Amin, 52 kg, Rama Al-Basha, under 60 kg, and Taj Abdul Hai, over 60 kg.
The Muay Thai for juniors was won by Dargham Rostom (37 kg), Wael Abdel Hai (43 kg), Adib Moqled (45 kg), Basil Abdel Hai (47 kg), Daniel Abdul Hai (52 kg), and Danny Zain Al-Din (57 kg), while he came first in the martial arts competition Mixed MMA for juniors Amir Nasr, 57 kg, and Seif Al-Faqih, 67 kg.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the head of the Technical Committee for Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts, Radi Al-Hamad, indicated that the tournament provided a useful opportunity for players to interact, and based on its results, the governorate’s junior team was selected in preparation for the Republic Championship during the coming period.
