The holiday came and with it today (Sunday) the Israelis went on a trip around the country and in Sinai.

As of 9:30 a.m., heavy loads were recorded on Road 1 from the area toward Mikve Israel, on Ayalon Road north from Kfar Shmaryahu to Gaash.

And on Road 4, a medium load was recorded from Ramat Efal to Givat Shmuel.

Particularly heavy loads were reported on Route 669 in the north, from Nir David to Beit Alfa, and on Route 40 south from Rahat to Lehavim Junction.



At the same time, a large load was recorded in the morning also at the Taba border crossing, on the way to Egypt.

The Airports Authority recommends that passengers arrive in the afternoon in view of the considerable congestion in the morning.

The Taba crossing is expected to be busy all week, and today alone more than 5,000 passengers are expected to pass through it.

The Egyptian side of the crossing is also expected to be busy throughout the morning.
