Today, three children died as a result of a fire that engulfed their house in the Daraa Al-Balad area, while their father was taken to a hospital in Damascus in a serious condition.
Colonel Muhammad Mahamid, commander of the Daraa Fire Brigade, said in a statement to SANA reporter that a fire whose causes were not known after the house of the Khaldoun Abazid family in Daraa al-Balad, which caused the death of his son Shafi’, aged 3, and his twin daughters, Bana and Lana, aged six, from severe burns, adding that the father was a paramedic. To Daraa National Hospital, but because of his critical condition, he was transferred to Damascus.
Mahamid indicated that the fire brigade went to the scene of the fire immediately upon receiving the report, but the speed of its spread caused the death of the children and the elimination of its contents.
