It doesn't take long before he finds it.

“Booby traps were discovered in some houses.

The Russians have broken into the houses to sleep there and left booby traps so that no one can approach them.

And after that they didn't remove it."

The village of Novyi Bykiv was already occupied by Russian troops at the beginning of the invasion.

According to local eyewitness accounts, the village was used as a base for tanks and artillery.

In early April, the Ukrainian army recaptured the area.

What remains is a field of rubble - it is difficult to assess what dangers still lurk here.

Ten people are said to have been killed here on Friday after being shelled by the Russian army.

Despite all the dangers, the fire brigade is on site to extinguish the buildings that have been hit.

'Going to church in wartime is even more important than usual. But it's always important.

We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the midst of the war and our country will also be revived, the war will end and everything will be better than before.«

But while clean-up efforts are taking place in some parts of the country and people are seeking comfort, the situation in many contested areas in the east of the country remains dire.
