The Director of the General Authority of Damascus Hospital (Al-Mujtahid), Dr. Ahmed Abbas, confirmed the decrease in the number of cases referred to the hospital with symptoms similar to infection with the Corona virus.

And Dr. Abbas indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the number of patients attending the isolation ambulance with complaints of symptoms similar to Corona does not exceed six daily, and the number of patients admitted to the isolation wards is currently four, two of whom are in intensive care.

Dr. Abbas pointed out that the severity of the symptoms accompanying the patients ranged from mild to moderate, and a large number of them showed a negative result of the PCR smear, indicating that the number of beds designated for Corona patients was reduced as a result of the decrease in the number of patients and injuries from 59 isolation beds and 12 general care beds. Dr. Abbas stressed the importance of receiving the anti-virus vaccine to form individual and societal immunity and ensure that there is no need to enter intensive care in case of infection, pointing out that no person who received the vaccine and contracted corona was required to be accepted in intensive care during the last period.
