In the shadow of the tensions in Jerusalem: Thousands are expected to arrive at the Priests' Blessing at the Western Wall
Just a day after buses were pelted with stones by Palestinians, thousands of participants will arrive for the traditional prayer.
Even before the security escalation, the Western Wall Heritage Foundation decided to split the event into two classes in order to meet the safety regulations and the expansion capacity.

Thousands are expected to attend the traditional priests' blessing at the Western Wall in Jerusalem this morning (Monday), just a day after the incident in which buses with passengers were pelted with stones by Palestinians on the way to the Western Wall.
The traditional prayer will be held this year under heavy heat and in the shadow of the security escalation in recent days in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
The mass ceremony has been held for 37 years on Passover and Sukkot, but this time a smaller-than-usual number of participants is expected.
Even before the security tensions began in Jerusalem - the Western Wall Heritage Foundation announced that "in order to meet the expectation of a large public from all over the country, the status of the Priests' Blessing will be split into two different classes according to the safety guidelines and capacity of the Western Wall plaza." This coming Wednesday.

The Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rabbi David Lau and Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef are expected to participate in the prayer together with the Rabbi of the Western Wall and the Holy Places, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovich.
Priestly blessing is a blessing that appears in the Torah in a book in the desert, as part of a commandment for the priests to bless the children of Israel.
The custom of the mass ceremony was founded during the war of attrition by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Geffner, and its purpose is to say a greeting to pilgrims to Jerusalem.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett assessed the situation and instructed to increase security on buses traveling to the Western Wall and the Old City.
"The security forces continue to receive a free hand from the political echelon for any action that will provide security to the citizens of Israel," he said at a hearing in which he was presented by key security officials with the intelligence situation and operational activity in the various centers.
The Prime Minister stressed that every effort should be made to allow members of all religions to celebrate and mark their religious holidays in Jerusalem.
According to him, rioters who violate public order and try to disrupt the holiday routine must continue to be treated.
