Opinion | Sometimes it's just a simple picture Israel today

Mother, father, four children and a dog, with the caption: "Happy holiday from the Bennett" • Sometimes you do not need more than that to wish a happy holiday

Dad, mom, four kids and a dog are standing in the yard.

Nothing too much is done, the eldest son looks like he would have given up, the youngest's pants have been lightly ironed.

Dad and Mom do not hold hands with a loving look.

Leave Photoshop at home, including the stylist.

A picture of human beings, real.

This is what an ordinary Israeli family looks like on the eve of the holiday.

Even the headline is simple, "Happy holiday from the Bennett."

It turns out that it is possible to greet a holiday even without mentioning Pharaoh and Iran in the same sentence.

Yes, I did like.

It seems to me that for the first time in my life I was parganed to Bennett.

After so many years in which a prime minister ruled Israel, every image was, for him, a being or ceasing to be, after ten years of continuous retouching, something that simply, imperfectly, touched my heart.

Something so Israeli and effortless that this image conveys has made it, the prime minister and his family accessible.

You can lie in pictures, broadcast a whole life that you do not have and probably will not have either.

Social networks build personas that do not really exist, people have writers, photographers and new media executives who will turn them into others.

But the question is always what is the difference between Facebook and Instagram and reality.

Former Prime Minister Netanyahu has used social media to build an omnipotent image for himself.

The man without whom nothing in the State of Israel can exist, of whom the state is.

His public profile on the networks is meant to fight the image created for him in the media, everything is meant to talk to the public over the heads of journalists and researchers.

Bennett is not there.

It has no arrogance and no arrogance.

Not every meeting with him is "historic", not every activity is "wow".

And not every holiday greeting is an opportunity to promote something else.

A holiday greeting is simply a holiday greeting, net.

Does he use purchased bots and likes?

The Prime Minister's Office denies.

And if so - why did he choose a picture of his family members, and not some important political statement or real action?

Could it not be that this picture, devoid of political or posh statement, simply touched most people?

Maybe there are those in Israel who miss the peace, the tranquility, who do not constantly want dramas and quarrels and the bending of hands and fire and the burning of passions?

When Trump was president of the United States, all his tweets became news and headlines. Netanyahu used the same method, constantly producing as many headlines, as much controversy as possible. Bennett and Lapid realized that the Israeli public was soaked and saturated and mostly tired. What did the prime minister say or who should be hated this week.

Mother, father, four children and a dog.

Sometimes you do not need more than that to wish a Happy holiday.

Were we wrong?
