The murder of the Kadouri couple is solved: ISIS terrorist infiltrated their apartment and killed the two with knife stabs (Photo: Police spokeswoman)

Wasim Assayed, 34, from Hebron, was charged today (Monday) with the murder of the couple Yehuda and Tamar Kadouri in January 2019 and with the murder of Ivan Tyranowski about a month ago.

Assayed, an ISIS terrorist who has been arrested and released several times in the past, was charged with murdering the Kadouri couple, the murder of Tyranowski, a foreign citizen from Moldova who was staying in his apartment in the Arnona neighborhood about a month ago, and other attempted murders in Jerusalem.

This, after the police and the GSS solved three different cases that occurred in Jerusalem starting in 2019.

Advocate Yuval Kedar of the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office presented to the court the alleged evidence against Assyed, including shoes with the same shoe claim at the murder scene, and a knife with Tirnovsky's DNA .

In light of this, Judge Oded Shaham extended Assayed's detention until a new decision is made.

In court the accused was asked if he regretted his actions, and he shook his head in denial.

Asaid's investigation revealed that he was looking for his victims at random, and set himself the goal of murdering Jews in the belief that this would advance ISIS 'aspirations and ideology and was described by the security forces as "cool-headed, orderly and meticulous."

He was banned between 2015 and 2018 due to activity in the ISIS infrastructure that planned to carry out attacks against Israeli targets.

Following his release from prison in Israel, he was detained by the Palestinian Authority for several months, and in January 2019 was detained again in Israel.

He was prosecuted for incitement and membership in a hostile organization.

At the end of the prison term - he was transferred to a long administrative detention of about two and a half years from which he was recently released.

During his interrogation, he said, "I did not tell anyone, that was my secret. I decided to murder Jews for myself and for God."

The couple Yehuda, 71, and Tamar, 68, were stabbed to death in their apartment in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood.

According to the indictment, he arrived at the scene a day after he had already tried to stab the girl Hadar Bezalel in the neighborhood.

The cut in her neck reached seven inches, but due to her screams he fled the scene and her life was saved.

The next evening, in the neighborhood, he noticed Yehuda Kadouri, wearing a kippah, entering his apartment.

After it got out of her back to his vehicle, the defendant broke into the apartment, found Tamar Kadouri in her bed and murdered her.

He hid in the apartment until Yehuda Kadouri returned to it, surprised him at the door and murdered him as well.

Before leaving the apartment, the defendant stole some rings and cash from the apartment.

Over time several suspects in the act were arrested but they were released after it became clear that they were not involved in the murder.

Since then the case has remained open.

Police and GSS investigators who investigated the murder of the Kadouri couple immediately after the affair broke out estimated that the suspect they were looking for was free to roam, and did not assume that he was in prison - in administrative detention.

About a month ago, on the night of March 21, the police received a report of an incident of violence in an apartment in the Arnona neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Two people were found injured as a result of knife stabs, foreign citizens from Moldova working in the country, and later the death of one of them, Ivan Tarnowski, was determined.

A few hours after the murder, Assid, who was staying in Israel illegally shortly after his release from administrative detention, was arrested in the northern part of the city and tried to cross the separation fence at the same time.

A knife was seized in his possession.

Were murdered in their home.

Assayed was transferred to the GSS for questioning because he was identified with ISIS and on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities and with intent to carry out an attack. , The suspicion arose that Asaid was connected to the stabbing incident of the Kadouri couple, and evidence was gathered that linked the terrorist to committing the act on a nationalist background.

During the police and GSS interrogation, Assyed confessed to the murder of the Kadouri couple and to the stabbing of a girl the day before.
