An indictment was filed today (Monday) against Bernard Hazan, a resident of Ashdod, an artist and circus coach who ran classes for children and youth in the city, for sodomy, rape and indecent acts on minors.
According to the indictment, filed by attorney Sharon Schwartz, the defendant was the director of the "Dynamiko" circus in Ashdod, conducted circus classes and training, organized circus performances and as part of his duties and activities, coached minors and young girls of various ages.
Defendant established rules of conduct for the girls, training programs, outlined a dress code, drove the complainants to shows, coordinated shows and was a significant and central figure in the lives of the complainants.
During the relationship between the defendant and the complainants, the defendant was a key and influential figure in the professional and personal field and they spent long hours in his company and under his supervision as part of his duties and activities.
According to the indictment, for various periods of time, the defendant took advantage of his position and professional status in the eyes of four different complainants aged 19-12, while taking care to create a close and dependent relationship with him, all for their sexual exploitation and committed serious sexual offenses including rape, sodomy and acts Obscene.
The prosecution requested that the defendant be detained until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
