The poems of poets participating in the Sixth Jableh Poetry Festival celebrated the Mother and Women's Days, the Gala Day and the Spring in April, in templates that varied between balanced and free poetry.

The festival, which was hosted by the Arab Cultural Center in Jableh and held by the Qardaha Cultural Forum, included honoring the poets who won the Al Areen competition announced by the forum last December.

The director and head of the Qardaha Cultural Forum, Ammar Merhej, said in a statement to SANA that the seven poets who participated in the festival came from several governorates to embody the message of love, peace, thought and culture as one of the most important components of the Syrian fabric.

The winner, Suleiman Shaheen, spoke about his participation in a poem of vertical poetry entitled “Khadija the Great, Mother of the Believers,” which describes the role of Mrs. Khadija in the honorable prophetic mission.

While the poet winning first place, Hanan Abdel Latif, participated in a poem of prose poetry entitled "A Curious Summer", using the method of admonition lined with the groans of the homeland, and expressed her happiness with this first honor for her, which in her opinion reflects the interest in poets.

The winner, Nader Ahmed Taiba, addressed in his patriotic poem the reality resulting from the war on Syria, considering his participation an incentive for giving and a patriotic duty.

Among the winners, poet Hayan Muhammad Hassan recited a sentimental poem entitled “O Doe of the Spirit” glorifying the homeland and the sacrifices of the Syrian people.

The poet Ahmed Ahmed expressed poetry’s commitment to the issues of the homeland, relying on the ease of composition and shorthand in poetry through two poems entitled “Day of Evacuation” and “Spiritual Waves”.

The poet Ahmed Bashar Al-Hallaq participated in a number of patriotic poems, including "Victory Feasts", "The Martyr", and some lyrical poems, including: "Some of my pulse", "Nafahat a lover", pointing to the importance of the festival because it reflects the identification of poetry with our national occasions and people's issues.

The poet Hussain Muhammad recited two poems entitled “Al-Rjum” and “Syria Al-Watan” in the Euphrates dialect, to conclude with two poems by the poet Ammar Merhej, one of which is patriotic and entitled “Maysaloon” and the other is sentimental.
