On the occasion of the month of Ramadan, a group of civil associations held a charitable iftar banquet this evening under the title “Algebra al-Khawatir” for about 600 beneficiaries of these associations, at the Lynne Al Hayat Childcare Complex in the Qudsaya suburb of Damascus countryside.

This annual activity is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and includes, in addition to the breakfast banquet, a set of competitions and recreational activities for orphaned children residing in the complex and a number of female breadwinners registered in the associations.

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Muhammad Seif El-Din, stated to SANA that cooperation and coordination between associations is important, especially in the field of orphan care, indicating that one of the priorities of the ministry’s work is to provide full support to and develop care homes in various fields, in addition to developing the relationship between the ministry and the active NGOs in this field. .

In turn, the coordinator of civil work, Dr. Amal Mahasin, explained that the initiative started from 8 years ago and aimed at organizing and integrating charitable work, noting that the number of associations participating in the activity reached 10, and its main goal is to bring joy to the hearts of children and provide care and attention to them, which gives them a great motivation in the future to be productive.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hayat Developmental Foundation, Dana Abdeen, said that the idea of ​​the initiative is to activate the partnership between the various NGOs and coordinate their work more, noting the role of these activities in creating a spirit of love and harmony among members of society.

For his part, Tariq Al-Shalah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Isaf Charitable Society for Orphans, stressed that the initiatives are very necessary during this period for the support they provide to needy families and orphaned children and to contribute to bringing joy and happiness to their hearts, pointing to the importance of activating volunteer work in society, which contributes to alleviating the burden on needy families. Significantly.

Director of Lahn Al Hayat Complex for Children without Family Care Nada Al Ghabra explained that the complex takes care of children so that they are able to rely on themselves in the future, noting that the training and qualification provided to them at the complex contributed to their reaching advanced stages of educational attainment.
