The number of people infected with corona in the district continues to decline
The group includes around 40 local experts from the health department, clinics and nursing and disabled facilities, resident doctors, rescue services, fire brigades and police, pharmacies, outpatient palliative care and departments of the district office, municipalities, school authority and the two vaccination centers.
They meet regularly – online or in person, depending on the pandemic situation – to discuss the current situation and discuss how to proceed.

Monika Baumgartner-Schneider, head of the Dachau health department, initially spoke of good news in her management report: The number of people who are currently in isolation with a corona infection is “gradually decreasing”.
However, the health department continues to work with “very high numbers”.
Infected people only have to be isolated for five days
The new Bavarian general decree on isolation, which has been in force since Wednesday, will also be taken into account.
According to this, infected people only have to be isolated for five days if they are symptom-free for 48 hours.
A test to end the isolation is no longer needed.
If the person has not been symptom-free for 48 hours by day five, isolation continues until at least 48 hours have been symptom-free;
but no more than ten days.
According to Baumgartner-Schneider, the day on which the symptoms began is no longer decisive for calculating the duration of isolation, but rather the day of the smear test - for example by means of a rapid test at a certified test center or a PCR test.
The rapid test result should also be confirmed by a PCR test.
However, people who work in nursing professions must note: They may only resume their work after isolation if they present the facility with a negative test.
Five to seven new patients in the clinic every day
The situation in the Helios Amper Clinic is much more tense than in the health department, where you have to deal with the continued high number of corona cases.
In addition to numerous employees who are absent due to a corona infection, the reason is the continued high number of corona infected patients.
Alexander von Freyburg, head of the emergency room, confirmed at the most recent meeting of the pandemic group: “We take in five to seven new patients every day who come to us with a corona infection and acute symptoms.
Last week, with 60 patients, we had an unprecedented high in the entire course of the pandemic!” On Thursday, there were still a total of 49 corona patients in the clinic, six of them in the intensive care center and 43 in the normal ward.
District administrator Stefan Löwl reported that with the decreasing incidence, the test capacities in the district would also be shut down over the summer.
A wide range of vaccinations will remain in place and should be ramped up again by the end of the summer holidays at the latest to prevent a possible renewed wave in autumn.
