Several shots were fired around 5:40 p.m. in downtown Hamburg, directly on the Alster!

The police are in action.

Hamburg* – Large-scale operation by the Hamburg* police on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Around 5:40 p.m., several shots were suddenly fired in the Neustadt district of Hamburg.

The Hamburg police immediately responded.

According to initial findings, a dispute between several people in front of the "Four Seasons" hotel is said to have escalated.

Suddenly, a previously unknown man grabs his gun and fires.

A total of four shots are said to have been fired.

A man is said to have suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.

Rescue service personnel from the Hamburg fire brigade immediately initiated care for the injured man on site.

A suspect is provisionally arrested.

It later turns out that the man has nothing to do with the crime.

In the meantime, various Hamburg police forces, including the police helicopter, have been looking for the possible perpetrators.

After a short manhunt, a man from a car is suddenly checked.

At gunpoint, the Hamburg police officers asked the man to get out.
