Homs-Sana
With the aim of supporting young talents and refining their poetic experience, the Cultural Center in Homs organized a literary poetry meeting in which members of the Syrian Writers Association of poets and young writers participated, and an audience of intellectuals and interested people attended.
The young woman, Noor Assaf, presented a text entitled (whether you like it or not) in which she blamed the other who left her without caring for her tender feelings, while Muhammad Nour Al-Ahmad and Renaz Hajjwani, students of the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Baath University, participated in a dialogue poem that revived the art of contradictions in a way of admonishing, not satire, as the literature audience used to.
Abeer Samha and Aya Hijazi shared two prose poems, the first about losing a friend and the second about the reality of young people due to circumstances, while Israa Al-Dali shared a short story entitled (Memories in the presence of Alzheimer's), in which she tells the story of a husband who lost his wife, but her memories with him still cling to the place and are filled with nostalgia.
The young woman Buthaina Al-Khouli concluded the meeting with a narrative text entitled (My Naughty Girl), which contains a female message to her father, who she lost due to the war, promising him to remain present in her successes as he wished.
Ahmed Al-Omar, the supervisor of the association in Homs, who shared a poem titled (A blame on the banks of Barada), which his longing brought to Damascus, explained to SANA Cultural that the association, which includes about 400 young men and women talented in poetry and prose, aims, through its activities, to develop young literary talents and encourage them to Nahl from culture, revival of heritage and empowerment of our classical Arabic language.
