Devotional items from the Nazi era are still in great demand among some people.

And this is how good money can be made with Nazi symbols to this day.

However, this is not legal – that is why such an attempt to sell it cost an Allinger dearly.

Alling – The 67-year-old had offered field post and field airmail stamps from the Nazi era on the Internet auction platform eBay.

It featured swastikas and pictures of Hitler, among other things.

The Allinger promptly ended up in front of the District Court of Fürstenfeldbruck.

There he gave the clueless.

He only used to collect stamps and now wanted to sell them.

However, his argument did not convince the judge.

After all, the man offered one of the brands 79 times.

The 67-year-old was sentenced to a fine of 2,500 euros (50 daily rates of 50 euros each) for using license plates belonging to unconstitutional organizations.

Also because commercial trade in the brands is not exempt from prosecution, as the judge explained.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)

The whole thing was blown because the Allinger crossed paths with another seller on eBay.

At the end of 2019, the Hamburger had sold Bayern playing cards on the platform for several hundred euros.

When the 67-year-old wanted to reverse the sale, the man from Hamburg took a closer look at his eBay account.

In doing so, he discovered the Nazi stamps.

He reported the Allinger and his wife.

house search

A little later, the police were at the front door of the two.

The officers took the 67-year-old's laptop and cell phone, but found no devotional items from the Nazi era apart from the field post stamps.

That is why Allinger's lawyer had applied for his client's acquittal.

He referred to a judgment by the Koblenz Regional Court, which had denied criminal liability in a comparable case.

And he emphasized that it was crucial whether his client adopted the attitude of the Nazi era.

However, no relevant evidence was found during the house search.

The court did not follow this reasoning.

In fact, the wife of the 67-year-old was acquitted.

Her involvement in the crime could not be proven.

The lawyer for the 52-year-old explained that her client had nothing to do with the eBay account, that she had neither set it up nor used it.
