The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today that a number of employees of the Belgian Embassy in Moscow are persona non grata.

The ministry said in a statement, according to the Russia Today website, that it summoned the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, Marco Michelsen, and expressed to him its strong protest against the provocative decision of the Kingdom's authorities to expel 21 employees of Russian foreign missions in Belgium.

According to the statement, the ambassador received a note from the ministry announcing that a number of Belgian embassy employees in Moscow were persona non grata and gave them until the third of next month to leave Russia.
