During the holy month of Ramadan, the Child Welfare Society in Homs distributed 70 percent of the Ramadan baskets to the deserving, and it prepares daily about 100 fasting meals and distributes them by the volunteer youth of the association.
Arwa al-Akhras, the relief official in the association, said in a statement to SANA that the association currently has 400 families, each family includes five people, according to the association’s database, and about 380 orphaned children are cared for in the association by providing financial guarantees, in addition to distributing in-kind aid such as clothes and food baskets. on their families.
From the kitchen of Dar Al-Khair in the association, volunteer Lama Hilal indicated that the preparation for the Iftar initiative is by providing basic materials for preparing various types of dishes, as a number of women who provide for their families work in the kitchen, and all health conditions are adhered to when preparing and packing meals so that they can be distributed to the needy.
