Today, the city of Jericho in the West Bank witnessed a solidarity stand in support of the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons.
According to Wafa Agency, the participants in the vigil, which was organized in conjunction with the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day, called on the human rights and humanitarian institutions and the International Red Cross to urgently intervene to save the lives of the prisoners in the occupation prisons, especially the sick, as a result of the deterioration of their health conditions as a result of the grave violations against them by their jailers.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails suffer from very serious health conditions, in light of deliberate medical neglect against them, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
