Damascus-SANA
The sung poem (Ya Min Jaffa), produced by the Music Department on Radio Damascus, carried the words of the media personality, poet Osama Shehadeh, and composed by musician Amin Al-Khayat, the spiritual style of mystical singing.
The author of the song, performed by singer Rimaz Al-Shahf, sought to simulate the flavor of Andalusia, its muwashshahs, the paper of Aleppo, its glorification, and the sweetness of the poems of Al-Hallaj and Ibn Al-Farid, the Sufis, as part of an attempt to restore the originality of the song, produce musical and poetic philosophy, and highlight Arab excellence in word and meaning.
While its composer, Amin Al-Khayat, found in the words an echo of an ancient past that the present continues to represent, to reach the audience thirsty for songs inspired by his original heritage and present it in the spirit of the age through a capable and capable voice in this style of songs.
The beginning of the song says:
“Oh who is dry and what is fulfilled
Since the heart left the healer
What were you in our fight?
O fair half of my soul.”
It is noteworthy that this song is the first production of the poet Shehadeh in this field, who has many participations in festivals and literary evenings and won several awards, while the musician Al-Khayyat has a great sales in this field and composed for the great singers, including Sabah Fakhri, Maha Al-Jabri and Mustafa Nasri.
