Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui expressed his country's readiness to work with Russia to make joint efforts to maintain world peace, ensure justice and shape a multipolar world.
Russia Today quoted Zhang as saying at a meeting in the Russian State Duma, "Russia was and will remain a great power and a major player in world politics, and any attempt to marginalize Russia will not be achieved," noting that relations between Beijing and Moscow are at a new starting point and the future of the two countries does not depend only on the development of cooperation between them, but rather the future of all mankind.
"We will dynamically develop relations with Russia on the basis of mutual benefit and in the long term, regardless of the state of Russia's relations with other countries," Zhang added, stressing that this is China's long-term and well-established strategy.
