Ebersberg firefighters appoint ex-mayor Walter Brilmayer as an honorary member

The Royal Privileged Firearms Society Ebersberg is pleased to have a new honorary member.

At the General Assembly in the Landgasthof Kugleralm, the members unanimously named Walter Brilmayer their new honorary member.

– Ebersberg's former mayor is thus in an exclusive circle, which now includes a total of four personalities in addition to ex-master marksman Centa Süss, sponsor Alois Freundl and honorary marksman Franz Kisters.

In his laudatory speech, 1. Schützenmeister Peter M. Lill emphasized the merits of the new honorary member: "Over the past decades, Walter Brilmayer has always helped the association with advice and action, and especially during the construction of the Schützenheim in 2000 with his intercession many decisive doors for opened up society and paved the way.

We will not forget that and we want to say our big thanks with the award.” The former mayor, who has been a fireman for almost 30 years, accepted the certificate of honor from Lill and thanked him: “I have always been in this club , who, at almost 600 years old, is probably the oldest in the district, felt very comfortable and helped where I could." New elections were also held at the General Assembly.

Ali Huber and Alois Michael Freundl performed their duties as election officers with flying colours.

1. Schützenmeister Peter M. Lill and secretary Michael Stuhlmann were re-elected unanimously.

Florian Müller was newly elected to the new board as the first sports director.

He replaces Sepp Schauberger, who held this post successfully for 40 years.

Schauberger, who could not be present in person, does not completely retire.

He wants to continue to be involved as the second sports director.

According to the statutes, the election of the second rifle champion and the treasurer will not take place until next year.

In his closing remarks, Lill outlined the tasks that await the firemen in the coming months.

One focus should be on intensive member recruitment.

Appropriate concepts are already available and have been approved.
