Cristiano Ronaldo, a 36-year-old Portuguese soccer player, reported with pain the death of one of his babies.
His partner, Georgina Rodríguez, was expecting twins and the boy died, while the girl was born.
The Manchester United player has a large family.
With the birth of the little girl, the soccer star now has five children.
He is the father of Cristiano Jr., 11, from a former partner who has never been publicly named.
He was born in 2010. The first-born inherited his father's soccer talent and has been featured in the Juventus and Manchester United youth teams.

Ronaldo's first daughter with Georgina Rodríguez, Alana Martina, was born in 2017.
He is also the father of twins Eva and Mateo, whom he welcomed via surrogacy in 2017.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced the pregnancy in October 2021, with a photo of the couple embracing and holding an ultrasound.
"It is with our deepest sadness that we announce that our baby has died. It is the greatest pain that parents can feel," reads a text that the player posted on his verified Twitter account on Monday.
Katia Aveiro, sister of Cristiano Ronaldo, dedicated a moving message to her brother and Georgina Rodríguez after the loss of her newborn son.
Aveiro also said that the soccer player's newborn daughter is "full of health."
