Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, told CNN in an interview that the decision of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies to scrap the electricity reform proposed by the president was good for helping the local economy, and makes the country become more vibrant for investment and growth.
Georgieva said that the slowdown in the US will negatively impact Mexico, so competitiveness is key.
