Iran today expressed its condemnation of the Israeli attacks and criminal acts committed by the occupation entity in occupied Jerusalem, and its targeting of Palestinians inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, which led to the wounding and arrest of hundreds of them, describing these attacks as "unbearable."
In separate letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the foreign ministers of Islamic countries, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed that these attacks constitute one of the clear evidence of the continuation of the evil policy of the Zionists to change the identity of Al-Quds, denouncing the silence of some governments and international organizations, which motivated the entity The Israeli occupation to escalate its inhuman practices and violations of human rights in Palestine.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed the need for urgent and decisive action by the international community and the United Nations, especially the Security Council, to carry out its duties in supporting the resistance of the Palestinian people, explaining that the establishment of a just and lasting peace in the region depends on ending the complete occupation of Palestine, the return of refugees, and the establishment of an independent and united Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
