A horrific accident in Petah Tikva: Three children were seriously, moderately and lightly injured after being hit by a passing vehicle while crossing a sidewalk on Yitzhak Ben Zvi Street in the city.
Medics from Magen David Adom provided medical care at the scene to a six-year-old boy who was seriously injured and rushed to a hospital while he was anesthetized and respirated, to an eight-year-old boy who was hit in the head and moderately injured and a 15-year-old boy who was lightly injured.
MDA medics Tomer Guzman and Alon Rizkan, who were present at the scene of the incident, said: "This is a serious car accident involving three injured children.
The vehicle from which they were hit was on the sidewalk near the fence of the bridge and the children were lying next to it with bruises on their heads.
We performed an initial assessment of injuries, a six-year-old boy was unconscious and we immediately began medical treatment which included giving medication and resuscitation and evacuated him to the hospital when his condition was serious and unstable.
A 15-year-old boy and an 8-year-old boy who were conscious were quickly taken to ambulances and evacuated to the hospital while receiving medical treatment in a serious and moderate condition. "
