About 220,000 hikers visited the nature reserves and national parks today (Wednesday).

Among the prominent national parks today were: Caesarea National Park with about 7,000 hikers, Yarkon Tel Afek National Park with about 5,500 hikers, Masada National Park with about 4,500 hikers and the Migdal Tzedek National Park, Apollonia and Beit Guvrin with about 3,500 hikers each from them.

Among the nature reserves, Ein Gedi stood out with about 6,000 hikers, the Banias nature reserves and cliff springs with about 3,500 hikers each and Ein Afek and Nahal Eyun with about 2,500 hikers each.

Other notable sites today were: Besor National Park-Eshkol Park, Gan Hashlosha and Tel Ashkelon.

Also last night, about 7,000 hikers in the night parking lots paid for by the Nature and Parks Authority around the country, including: Masada, Mamshit, Ashkelon, HaBesor, Maayan Harod, Khan Beerot and more.

Meanwhile, thousands of hikers visited the information and information stations set up by the Nature and Parks Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection at dozens of popular hiking centers in nature reserves and national parks in the open.

The Nature and Parks Authority is preparing for many hikers who are expected to hike in the nature reserves and national parks also during the second holiday and on Saturday.

Among the prominent activities that will take place during the holiday: non-stop knights in the Jordan Star National Park, a sunrise tour in Mount Gerizim National Park, the Nabataean experience with activities for the whole family and stalls in Mamshit National Park, a walk in paradise in Ein Prat Reserve, touching light in Qumran National Park and more.

All this in addition to a wide range of free tours of dozens of nature reserves and national parks, among others by professional guides in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism.
