Thousands of people were forced to flee their homes as wildfires spread to the US state of Arizona.
Reuters quoted the Coconino County Board of Supervisors as saying that "a fire swept northeast of semi-inhabited hills 23 kilometers north of Flagstaff, Arizona," stressing that the fire spread to more areas due to strong spring winds, burning 24 apartment buildings and forcing 2,000 people to evacuate.
