A 51-year-old man was killed today (Thursday) after he was hit by a vehicle that overturned and hit him while he was in a dog park in Kiryat Motzkin.

The vehicle overturned after being involved in a car accident with another vehicle on Jerusalem Boulevard in the city, hitting a man and running him to his death.

An MDA team that was called to the scene determined his death and evacuated the driver of the vehicle, a 50-year-old woman, to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, when she was in fair condition.

The driver of the other vehicle was slightly injured and treated on the spot by the crews.

Police have begun investigating the circumstances of the accident.



MDA paramedic Alexander Greenbaum and a senior MDA paramedic, Samih 'Abd al-Qader, who were called to the scene, said it was a serious car accident.

"The wounded man was lying in the garden unconscious and suffering from a very severe multi-system injury. We performed resuscitation operations on him but the injury was critical and in the end we had to determine his death."

They further described that the driver of the vehicle was trapped in a vehicle that was upside down on its side and after rescue operations she was evacuated to the hospital in fair condition.

On Monday, a 65-year-old man was killed when he collided with his vehicle in a camel on Road 358 between the Lakia interchange and the direction of Eshkolot, in the northern Negev.

The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m.



The vehicle collided with a

camel, MDA medics and paramedics determined the death of the driver, Yuval Eilat Ozen, on the spot after it was captured in the vehicle and rescued with no signs of life. The police were called to the scene,

K. Haim Chen, described the accident as "extremely difficult".

"Preliminary interrogation of a road accident examiner who arrived at the scene revealed that the driver of the vehicle was surprised by a camel walking in the lane of travel," he explained.

"We have launched immediate investigative actions with the participation of officials from the Ministry of Agriculture who are responsible for marking and supervising the camel population."
