BMW goes up in flames on the A92 – Autobahn closed for a long time in the middle of rush hour

In the middle of rush hour, a car caught fire after a rear-end collision on the A92 near Freising.
The highway had to be completely closed.
Freising – In the middle of rush hour, the A92 towards Deggendorf had to be closed for almost an hour early on Tuesday evening.
According to the Freising traffic police, a rear-end collision occurred between the Eching Ost and Freising Süd junctions around 4 p.m.

A 50-year-old Passat driver crashed into a BMW 3 Series in the fast lane on the left in heavy stop-and-go traffic.
The force of the impact pushed the BMW into the Mercedes A 200 of a 23-year-old who was driving in front of him.
The 27-year-old driver of the BMW was slightly injured in the collision and taken to the Freising Clinic.
Because his car caught fire for reasons that are still unclear, the motorway in the direction of Deggendorf had to be completely closed for extinguishing work.
Traffic was backed up for miles.
The traffic police put the total damage to the vehicles at 13,000 euros.
The older BMW suffered a total write-off.
