Macron-Le Pen debate: what to remember from the face-to-face for the 2022 presidential election
The analysis of any political face-to-face, a fortiori when it comes to the supreme moment of the presidential election, the second-round debate between the two finalists, often suffers from major biases.
The supporters of each side, taken through confirmation bias, will of course want - and against the evidence, if necessary - to declare victory for their champion.
Commentators, who are, or claim to be, so many influencers are, for their part, exposed to prescription bias: their diagnosis is very likely to be influenced by the message they wish to imprint on public opinion, and this message itself to reflect their own bias of conforming to their milieu, partisan or professional.
With the exceptions, of course, known for their taste for paradox.
