The preview of what was announced as the “most explosive interview of the year” with Donald Trump and Piers Morgan is tough.

Palm Beach, Florida – No sooner has professional TV provocateur Piers Morgan found a new home at Fox News* than he is allowed to interview the broadcaster's regular guest: Donald Trump*, former president, ex-television star and possibly future presidential candidate in the United States *.

Morgan's interview with Trump won't air on the TV network's streaming channel until April 25, but the 30-second preview it has now released packs a punch.

The excerpt begins by accusing the "former president" of living "in denial."

Why, that quickly becomes clear in the following exchange of blows between the two.

"They lost," Morgen says to Trump.

Who in turn replies: "Only an idiot would think that." Morgan in turn asks: "So you think I'm an idiot?" "I think so now, yes," confirms Trump in the video.

The argument that is hinted at here and that comes along with dramatic music, revolves around what Morgan says is “fair and honest” US election 2020*, in which Trump is known to have lost to incumbent US President Joe Biden*.

Trump defended himself against the defeat with all his means, has only admitted it once by mistake and even instigated a riot by his supporters at the Capitol to prevent the certification of the election results at the last moment.

Five people died, but it was of no use to him.

Now Donald Trump is apparently allowed to argue about this election once more on his former favorite station.

This time with Piers Morgan, whom Trump accuses of being dishonest and who he demands at the end of the interview, just before Trump seems to leave the room angrily, to "turn off the cameras".

Piers Morgan and Donald Trump have a long history.

Morgan appeared on Trump's TV show Celebrity Apprentice in 2008, worked for the tabloids The Sun and Daily Mirror, and later feuded with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Trump and Morgan have always been considered close friends.

Morgan was one of the first to predict back in 2015 that Trump would win the election against Hillary Clinton*.

Donald Trump and Piers Morgan - the background to the interview on Fox News

But before the interview between Donald Trump and Piers Morgan from Great Britain*, the former president is said to have received a number of quotes from the 57-year-old reporter since 2016, and which Trump should not have tasted at all.

In a piece for the New York Post, Morgan describes the scene.

Trump is said to have received and confronted him in Mar-a-Lago.

"He usually greets me with a smile," but this time everything was different.

"There were no niceties." Instead, Trump asked Pierce: "What the hell is that?" Trump is said to have read him the quotes in which Morgan once demanded Trump's resignation, another time demanded that Trump should never be allowed again run for the office of President.

The interview was about to be canceled and could only be saved by one thing: Pierce Morgan congratulated Donald Trump on his alleged hole in one on the golf course.

Trump himself responded to the release of the Morgan interview preview Wednesday night by releasing his own seven-minute audio recording of the interview.

The recording proves two things: first, that Trump did not end the interview abruptly, as the preview suggested, and second, that among conservatives, even supposedly good friends are constantly bugging each other.
