Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh renewed his call on the international community to provide protection for the Palestinian people and to abandon double standards in dealing with international law.

Shtayyeh said in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the occupation’s targeting of the besieged Gaza Strip with air strikes and its violation of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque through repeated incursions and continued killings and invasions of cities, villages and towns in all the occupied territories is an attempt to impose false facts on the ground by force, stressing that the terrorism of the occupation will not dissuade the Palestinian people. From continuing his struggle to liberate his land, gain his freedom, and establish his independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the continuous aggression of the occupation against Jerusalem and its Christian and Islamic holy sites, foremost of which is the arbitrary measures imposed by the occupation authorities on the arrival of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and its attempt to control their numbers as an integral part of the open occupation war on the Palestinian presence in occupied Jerusalem.

The Foreign Ministry warned against the consequences of the international community's dealing with the violations of the occupation as normal matters that have become familiar and do not require stopping or thinking about their racist dimensions, noting that it will continue its political and legal movement to expose the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinians.
