Queen Elizabeth: On her 96th birthday she wants to be close to Prince Philip
Since the start of the corona pandemic two years ago, Queen Elizabeth II has retired to Windsor Castle, and now she only leaves the magnificent residence on special occasions such as her own birthday.
As reported by the "Daily Mail", the royal jubilarian made her way to her country estate, Sandringham House, on Wednesday (April 20), just a few days after her secret meeting with Harry (37) and Meghan (40).
She apparently left Windsor for Norfolk by helicopter.

In memory of her husband Prince Philip (99, † 2021), who died in April last year, the 96-year-old should spend her birthday in a very special place, Wood Farm, which should arouse nostalgic feelings.
The secluded farmhouse on the Sandringham House estate served Philip as a place of residence and retreat after his royal resignation in 2017. Queen Elizabeth II will probably stay in the idyllic cottage for several days.
According to the Guardian, close friends and members of the British royal family will probably visit her there in the coming days.
Queen Elizabeth: Big party is still a long time coming
The palace released a new photo of the honoree commissioned by the Royal Windsor Horse Show on the eve of the royal birthday.
The picture, which shows horse fanatic Elizabeth alongside her ponies Bybeck Katie and Bybeck Nightingale, was taken in March in the gardens of Windsor Castle.
The Queen will not throw a big party on her 96th birthday, the glamorous spectacle in honor of the Queen will not follow until summer.
Queen Elizabeth celebrates her second birthday with the traditional Trooping the Color Parade, this year the military parade is part of the multi-day celebrations of the Queen's 70th jubilee 2022.
