Little rain, but lots of sun.

That's how it was in Bavaria in the past few days and that's how it should stay.

Good for tourists, bad for agriculture.

Munich – So far it has actually been a spring as it is written in the book.

Long, sunny days, hardly a cloud in the sky.

In addition, a drop of rain hardly ever falls from the sky.

Perfect trip weather for the Easter holidays.

For nature and especially for agriculture, the permanently good mood weather is not so tingling.

And the lack of precipitation has already had an impact on some regions in Bavaria*.

The first communities are calling on their citizens to save water*.

Weather in Bavaria: High pressure area over Scandinavia drives away all lows

The reason for the consistently good weather* in Bavaria is a high over Scandinavia and Iceland.

As if firmly cemented, it keeps all upcoming lows* away from large parts of Germany.

They end up in southern Europe.

Which has led to around 30 centimeters of snow in the region around Madrid.

"Bad luck for all Easter vacationers," writes qualified meteorologist Dominik Jung in his weather update.

He goes on to say: “A high* over northern Europe deflects all lows south.

The vacationers in the Mediterranean can sing a song about it, from Portugal to Italy lots of clouds and heavy rain again and again, even thunderstorms are possible there.”

So what's left for Bayern?

Right, Sahara dust again.

Instead of rain clouds, this will pass over us in the next few days.

Jung writes: "Today and tomorrow there is some Saharan dust in the atmosphere to optimize the desert feeling a little more..." But no plant can get enough of dust.

Rain* is needed in agriculture.

Especially now that many farmers have started sowing.

But it should stay dry.

A few drops may not fall until the beginning of next week.

Weather in Bavaria: The forecast for May is not good

According to

wetteronline.de

it should rain a little on Monday and Tuesday.

However, this can hardly satisfy the water requirement, which is usually easily covered at this time of the year.

And the prognosis isn't getting any better.

After the rain interlude, the sun shines again and the thermometer rises in Munich * for the first time this year constantly over 20 degrees.

But does it then at least rain extensively in May?

According to the American weather service NOAA, probably not.

It is possible that May will also be quite dry and warm, they say.

Let's see when the high in northern Europe decides to move on.

"Currently, however, there is no real end to this blocking high-pressure weather situation in sight," says weather expert Jung, destroying all hope.
