The science fairs organized by public and private schools in Daraa governorate are consistent with the developed curricula proposed by the Ministry of Education and at the same time help students to refine their skills and theoretical information with practical applications.

On this basis, the Directorate of Education in Daraa has been encouraging scientific exhibitions within the governorate’s schools to train students to make models that depict the scientific situation and help to understand the material in a deeper way away from theoretical education.

Head of the Curriculum Department in the Directorate Areej Al-Miqdad told SANA reporter that the Directorate encourages scientific exhibitions and supports them in schools in line with the directions of the Ministry of Education, stressing that these exhibitions enhance the student’s theoretical idea and give him a correct perception of the scientific subject and thus become a necessity to advance the student’s creative abilities and show the extent of the teacher’s understanding of the material and its ability to deliver the information to the students in the correct manner.

Al-Barmawi Private School is one of the schools that holds scientific exhibitions produced by students. The head of the school’s board of directors, Eng. Bilal Al-Barmawi, confirmed that the exhibition shows the students’ products and work during an entire academic year, stressing that the school works continuously to encourage research and scientific initiatives and projects.

Asmaa Abazid High School Principal said that the scientific exhibition gives positive results, especially for secondary school students, stressing that these exhibitions adopt the method of scientific methods that are consistent with the developed curriculum in the Ministry of Education.

The students Tharaa Al-Asfar, Musa Al-Ghouthani and Abdul-Rahman Abazid drew attention to their participation in scientific exhibitions through paintings and models that talk about extracting DNA molecules from bananas, Archimedes’ impeller, how to push fluids, and sets of concepts in mathematics, stressing the importance of such exhibitions in deepening their understanding of scientific materials and enhancing They have theoretical knowledge.
