For the 650 or so students at the Louis-Lumière vocational school in Chelles, it must have been a light day for some, with the joyful prospect of the spring school holidays which start this Friday evening for a fortnight.
For others, she had to be studious, with exams on the line.
Except that it suddenly turned into a nightmare this Friday at 10:30 a.m., when a 16-year-old teenager was violently stabbed within the establishment itself.
Seriously injured, he was first "taken care of by the establishment's nurse and then by the emergency services", indicates the rectorate of the Créteil academy this afternoon.
The injured man was then rushed to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital in Paris.
“He is currently hospitalized.
We do not have, at this time, precise information on his state of health, ”adds the rectorate.
According to the first testimonies, his assailant would have presented himself a little earlier inside the school to find the one he was looking for.
He then allegedly stabbed him five times, hitting his victim on the right side and in the back, with a blade 10 cm long.
He then allegedly fled.
The rector of the Créteil academy visited the site
"The police are on site and are carrying out the first investigations", specifies the rectorate.
At the start of the afternoon, the police officers from the Chelles/Villeparisis agglomeration police station were still on site.
“The mobile security teams as well as the listening cell are also mobilized in the establishment to support the care of adults and students.
The establishment will remain open this afternoon”, indicates the rectorate this Friday.
The case worries the Minister of National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer.
“At the minister's request, Daniel Auverlot, rector of the Créteil academy, went to the site and is ensuring follow-up measures with the educational community.
They strongly condemn this unacceptable act of violence.
They express their full support to the student's family, to his classmates as well as to the entire educational community of Lycée Louis-Lumière, ”concludes the rectorate.
This drama comes two days after the one that occurred in front of the Jean-Perrin high school in Longjumeau (Essonne).
Again, the victim was 16 years old and had also been seriously injured by a 10 cm blade.
Four suspects were arrested in this case, obviously linked to a fight between bands.
