After the judicial end for the Corona hotspot rule in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, masks will no longer be compulsory in schools from Monday.
However, wearing a mouth and nose cover in the school building is recommended, said Minister of Education Simone Oldenburg (left) a few hours after the urgent decision of the Higher Administrative Court in Greifswald on Friday.
Schwerin - The mask requirement in school buildings should actually expire on April 28, according to the minister.
The hotspot rule that the state parliament passed in March was supposed to end on April 27th.
However, the Higher Administrative Court overturned this on Friday.

Oldenburg warned to continue to exercise caution.
Keeping distances also makes sense, she explained.
"The pandemic is not over yet, so we must continue to be cautious and prudent."
The obligation to test in schools is not affected by the OVG decision and will remain unchanged for the time being.
"That means the three-time test obligation remains with the known exceptions for those who have recovered and those who have been fully vaccinated." With the next school corona regulation, there will then be a switch to event-related testing.
"This means that a test must be taken when students show the corresponding symptoms." dpa
